Access the damage
- If you see any transactions take place that wasn't directly authorized by you, it's likely someone has gained access to or taken control of your wallet.
- If your bank account is also connected to your wallet, cybercriminals may try and access the funds stored there, too.
- So, you should check your bank account's recent transactions to scope out any unauthorized withdrawals, too.
Taking the next steps to lessen the damage
- Immediately after accessing the damage on your accounts, remember to run a malware scan on the antivirus software installed on your device. This is because cybercriminals or hackers usually use malware software to gain access to your personal information or accounts.
- Then, go ahead and provide the support team with all the information about how you think your account might have been compromised and give a list of all the transactions that were performed by the hacker (send us the screenshots).
- The Coinflare team will then proceed to freeze your accounts and all the assets within until you get access back to your account.
- We also highly recommend you contact your local police if your funds are stolen like any other crime.
